Asian Rainforest Nature Trail

Today we explored one of Singapore’s National tropical rainforests, and it was awesome! We hiked through MacRitchie Reservoir, a vast nature reserve teeming with giant trees, interesting jungle sounds, and cheeky monkeys.

We started our adventure early in the morning when the air was still cool (sort of!). The trail took us through tall bamboo, wooden boardwalks, and forest paths. We kept stopping to spot dragonflies, turtles, and monitor lizards. We even saw a family of macaques swinging through the trees, one of them was carrying a baby.

But the best part? The TreeTop Walk!

It’s a big, wobbly suspension bridge up in the canopy, super high and super fun. From up there, you can see all the way over the forest. We pretended we were jungle explorers and kept our eyes out for birds and monkeys.

After the hike, we cooled off by the reservoir and ate our snacks (okay, a lot of snacks). Our legs were tired, but we discovered some amazing wildlife in the rainforest, and our shoes were muddy, which is always a good sign.
