European Camping Adventure

In the summer of 2024, we packed up our gear and hit the road for a HUGE camping adventure across Europe. We explored five countries, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, and Switzerland, and every day was something new and amazing!

In Italy, we camped by the great lakes in the north, explored tiny hilltop villages, and ate the best pasta and Gelato ever. We wandered through colourful streets, climbed old castle towers, explored the countryside on our bikes, and even swam in warm lakes surrounded by mountains. Italy felt sunny and slow, like the perfect start to our journey.

We camped under the stars, cooked dinner outside, and woke up to the sounds of birds, mountains, and the sea. Some days we were snorkelling in Croatia’s clear blue waters, swimming with fish and finding shiny stones on the beach. Other days, we were climbing through the forests and mountains in Slovenia and Austria, where the air was fresh and the lakes and rivers were freezing but perfect for a quick dip.

In Switzerland, we visited some of our favourite mountain trails and camped beneath giant snowy peaks. We hiked past waterfalls, crossed wooden bridges, and waved at cows with big bells around their necks. The air smelled like pine trees and adventure.

One of our favourite things was making dinner in the evening together, playing cards, and sleeping together in our tent. It felt like the whole world was our backyard.
